This mechanical musical instrument is unique in Europe; it is an automatic philharmonic organ featuring 1,000 pipes (violins, flutes, voices, etc.), a carillon and a metallophone, and it required 4 years of restoration work.
It can be heard during the "Mardis de l'Orgue" (organ Tuesday) concerts that are organised during the cultural season. Consult the events programme.
At the far end of the church, you can also admire the beautiful tapestry, which has a story to tell:
Père Ackerman went to southern Egypt to learn to master "DURCAT" tapestry techniques. His training resulted in a tapestry in 4 sections and these were put together at the Aubusson workshop, which is famous for its tapestries.
Ackerman, who was a friend of the priest of Les Gets, sold his tapestry to the municipality in the 1970s.
From 01/01 to 31/12, daily.
