  • 2019 PROGRAM

Sunday 17th March 2019 - Champéry-Les Crosets

When you mix things up, life is often more interesting – nowhere is this more true than when you hear songs by Gaetan Roussel. It’s also true that this process takes time, an open mind, travelling, learning new things and taking real pleasure in sharing experiences and then seeing what happens. From Paris to Los Angeles, this performing artist – who’s also the lead singer and guitarist of Louise Attaque - has made the most of his international back yard.

While on the other side of the Atlantic ocean he met other writers, composers and producers to collaborate with on his new songs. Together, they crafted a sound, a music born of this original French-American alliance that Roussel has grafted hard to create, mixing his words with theirs, using his penchant for the special groove mix of his Anglo Saxon peers. Those who’ve worked with Rihanna, Beck and even Prince (Justin Stanley, Jonas Myrin) have shared their passion with Gaetan, helped by producers like Dimmi, Antoine Gaillet or Gaetan himself. The result is an unclassifiable neo-pop album that’s addictive and has a vibrant intimacy. It’s set for release in September.

While we wait for this epic arrival, here’s the first extract, HOPE, which gives a taste of what’s to come.

Monday 18th march 2019 - Les Gets - Morzine (RDV at Vaffieu restaurant - Folliets chairlift from Les Gets)

Wednesday 20th March - Avoriaz

Parisian duo OFENBACH are quickly developing a reputation as one of their nation's hottest new electronic artists.

Recently nominated for Best New Talent by DJ Mag in France and picked for Spotify France's New Talent 2017 playlist, their remixing skills have been called upon by everyone from Bob Sinclar to James Bay, while their mix of Lily & Madeleine's 'Come To Me' is touching 20 million streams at Spotify. Building on that initial momentum, OFENBACH have just dropped their first track for Big Beat Paris with 'Be Mine'.

After already impacting in charts back home - including a #4 position on the iTunes Electronic Chart and a Top 10 entry on Shazam's Futurs Hits - 'Be Mine' looks set to be discovered by a wider international audience in the near future. With 'Be Mine', OFENBACH present a sound that unites two often contradictory sounds as their chilled electro is boosted with flourishes of live instrumentation drawn from their love of rock and blues. Already immediately insistent, 'Be Mine' is completed by a coolly understated lead vocal.

OFENBACH duo Dorian Lo and César de Rummel are childhood friends whose musical adventures were reignited when they delved into the world of deep house in 2014. Since then, their tracks have been rich with laidback, feel-good vibes as demonstrated by 'You Don't Know Me' (with Brodie Barclay), 'What I Want' (with KarlK) and 'Around The Fire', which featured on the 'Crosswalk, Vol. 1' compilation alongside the likes of Kungs and Nicolas Haelg.

OFENBACH now command the attention of over a million monthly listeners at Spotify, while their Monthly Delights mix series at SoundCloud has attracted a cult following for their carefully curated mix of breaking new tracks, hot remixes and old favourites.

Friday 22nd March - Châtel

Hyphen Hyphen is back!

Although they’re only 24 years old, this young group with their hyper-charged energy are a fine vintage. They’ve had some major achievements already: a first TIMES album with lots of hits: Just Need Your Love and Closer To You, In addition, they’ve picked up a 2016 Victoire de la Musique award (live act newcomer of the year), that’s been backed up by a Europe tour featuring more than 200 dates.

The group has just released their second album, HH, which has already been hailed by critics!

Saturday 23rd March - Morgins

His new single, The Weekend, marks the return of Charlie Winston; this fun, summery ballad that describes how - between Friday night and Monday morning - we become different versions of ourselves. It's just one of the ideas from Charlie Winston's upcoming fourth album, Square 1, which take in themes we've come across before, from the way we live today to more gritty topics, such as political refugees. You could translate Square 1 as a return to Winston's roots. It's set for release in the autumn.

Sunday March 17th 5:30PM : La Jarry / Place de la Maison des Gets
Initially composed of 2 brothers, the French group La Jarry is actually in the public eye. They have already done more than 500 gigs, in France and internationally, thanks to its (French) rock music!
The group is also privileged to be released on American radios.

Tuesday March 19th 5:30PM : The Watt House / Place de la Maison des Gets
The 5 brothers of the groupe propose a good dose of "shock'n' Roll therapy", with tunes that remind the seventies. Jack, John, Jesus, Jesse et James instil their love for rock music in the public.

Thursday March 21st 5:30PM : Solweg / Place de la Maison des Gets
Firstly inspired by acoustic instruments, Solweg has changed its music, for ballad songs, mixing rock and pop music. Every one of us can find itself in its songs. Always in search of new universes, Solweg will never stop to surprise us.

Friday March 22nd 5:30PM : Collapsus / Place de la Maison des Gets
It all began in 2001 in the South of Grenoble (East of France), where the group made up. Initially composed of 3, than 5 and now 2 members, the crazy duo writes strong texts, but always mocking it. With their songs, mainly rock, with some notes of ska, punk and electro, they spread their communicative energy to the public.
