On sunday 21st May, the Hérens cows will go on mountain pasture
When pastureland turns green and flowers show their first colors, it's time for cows to go to the mountain pasture. At 11.00am on the "Town Hall" square, Herens cows's herds from "La Ferme Noires des Cimes" and "La Ferme de Caroline" will meet.
These little rustic cows, really adapted to alpine areas, will fight to define the hierarchy within the herd.
At 2.30pm, spectators will be able to escort the cows to the mountain pasture (about 40 minutes walk), and share a drink.
There will be also a "Zero pesticide" producer's market, a meal made with farm's products, traditional music and diverse activities !
